This house on Lighthouse Avenue, not far from the center of town, has a distinctly Palladian feel, very classical. The tripartite door and windows evoke classical Roman building, and, of course, Christian architecture, specifically Cathedrals. The three arches form the front of the porch. Note the Palm trees and the small front lawn. Grass lawns are not the norm in Pacific Grove, due to the shortage of water and lack of rainfall.

  1. This house is also home to a rather psychotic mother (father?) crow that dive bombed and struck me four times as I was innocently walking home from work I was about ten feet below any tree that could potentially be housing baby crows. So either this crow has a vision problem with distance or it was out for me. There are also finches and hummingbirds that congregate there.
