I'm not big on amusement parks, but as a cultural phenomenon, the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk is right up there. The oldest surviving amusement park in California, and one of only two beach-side amusement parks on the West Coast, it was founded in 1907, and has been in the same family since 1915. There are plenty of opportunities for photographs; lots of color, people and oddities.
